Over the past year, I have reconnected with the parts of the field that inspire me to go the extra mile. Returning to Machine Learning and Deep Learning, I have completed independent studies in areas such as Big Data Applications and Data Mining, alongside personal projects that I share here. Combined with my experience as a QA Automation Engineer, I bring strong understanding of quality standards and a drive to contribute to the next generation of advancements in the field.
Work Experience
During my time at Signant Health, I worked with a variety of project teams to deliver high-quality software. Some of the most relevant tasks for this position included:
Proactively testing, identifying defects, analyzing and reporting them, and supporting developers in their corrective actions.
Writing test cases for specific modules, as well as improving our existing testing libraries.
Understanding industry standards and enhancing performance, security, and reliability based on our requirements.
Managing and tracking bugs through cloud platforms and our continuous CI/CD deployments.
As an Automation Engineer at Cargotec, I worked on a wide variety of tasks and projects. During my first year, I focused primarily on hands-on commissioning, supporting PLC quality tests, assisting with software configuration, and participating in overseas commissioning deliveries.
Over time, my role evolved to include more responsibilities in quality testing, ensuring our software products met customer expectations, and contributing to test automation efforts.
Studies
During this year, I have been taking some independent studies, such as Big Data Aplication and Processes(5/5) and Towards Data Mining(Pass) from the University of Oulu. These courses have improved my skills at reasoning how to handle and manage data for its analysis and model forecasting.
During my exchange, the courses I took at TUNI were:
Distributed Automation Systems(5/5)
Factory Communications Systems(4/5)
Virtual Commisioning of Robot Systems(4/5)
Advanced Course in Factory Communications(3/5)
Specialty in Robotics and Perception (7.02/10)
This masters had a wide range of courses, and to me the most interesting courses were related to Industrial Automation, Electronic instrumentation and Study of Numerical Methods and Differential Equations.
My master's thesis project was "Design, implementation and evaluation of automated surveillance systems" (9.5/10)
This Bachelor's degree provided me with a solid foundation in mathematics and electronics, along with various automation courses focused on PLCs and software programming. The study's program culminated in advanced topics such as factory robotics and object detection applications.
My Bachelor's thesis was titled "Development of a Software Application to Communicate and Handle Data with the Atmospheric Observatory through RS-232 Standards" (9.8/10).
